Rules for checking out materials from the Reading Rooms

Rules for checking out materials from the Reading Rooms (except for the International Resource Center):

•Materials can be checked out during the opening hours of a room and for a maximum period of 24 hours.

• Items from the reading rooms can be checked out if a user has a second identity document (apart from the Reader Card).

• An overdue fine is charged for using the items beyond the fixed period - 1 ruble per hour.

• Items that may not be checked out: dictionaries, encyclopedias and other reference items, electronic publications, single copies, publications of high demand.

Rules for checking out materials from the International Resource Center:

• Materials can be checked out from the IRC Reading Rooms during IRC opening hours and for a period of 1 week or 1 month.

• Materials may be checked out upon checking a user’s Reader Card (may not be checked out by General Public Users).

• Items that may not be checked out: dictionaries, encyclopedias, other reference items, single copies, publications of high demand.

• An overdue fine is charged for using these items beyond the fixed period - 3 rubles per day for materials checked out for a week and 1 ruble per day for materials checked out for a month.
