A new language club, The Bangladesh House, starts in the Library
A new language club, The Bangladesh House, starts in the International Resource Center of the TSU Research Library. Interactive sessions, workshops, training, and simulation games for leadership development will be offered to language enthusiasts. The meetings will take place on Thursdays at 17:00 in the German Reading Room. Registration is required. «The Bangladesh House is for the students and people living in Tomsk where they can learn about Bangladeshi culture, language, traditions, and food,» comments Sarker Tanvir Ahmed, the club’s moderator and PhD scholar at the TSU Institute of Economics and Management. «It is a great opportunity to learn the Bangla language, meet students from Bangladesh, and share your opinion, ideas and knowledge in an informal setting.» The meetings promise to be engaging and informative, as the moderator of the new club is a person with diverse interests. Mr. Ahmed completed Honors and Master’s Degree in Economics from Varendra University, Bangladesh. He is a distinguished international youth activist and a leader with 17 years of experience. He has contributed to various global platforms. In 2021, he got the Official Pass from the United Nations to attain the OHCHR Intercessional meeting at Geneva and represented Bangladesh. Mr. Ahmed also worked with UNESCO as a Master Trainer (www.sarker.info). Also, he is the author of A Touch of Warmth in Kalpa, a collection of selected story and article. Questions?
