In 2016 TSU researchers published 2632 papers that were indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection citation database. As of 01.01.2020 these publications were cited 15497 times. Publications that annually perform in the top 1 % based on the number of citations received in each of 22 fields of Web of Science are called Highly Cited Papers. We offer you a list of highly cited papers of 2016 published by TSU researchers, students and postgraduates. Papers are grouped according to the fields and are listed in the descending order of citation index. Name of the researcher who had TSU as an affiliate and the number of citations as of 01.01.2020 are shown in parenthesis.

Most of the articles (15 out of 23) were published with participation of Georgy Aleksandrovich Shelkov, a professor at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Functional Electronics of the Radiophysical Faculty of TSU, as part of international collaborations such as ATLAS (Large Hadron Collider) and BESIII (Beijing Electron-Positron Collider).
